Character Interview- Caden from Hearts in Darkness

Here we have it folks! You had your chance to ask Caden Greyson any question you wanted. Caden has answered all of those questions!

First, Laura, thank you so much for taking time from your busy schedule to do this for us! We love Caden and Makenna… ok, we love Caden more! Lol

Caden - Have you gotten any new tattoos since you have had your delicious encounter with Makenna?? Any chance of another elevator encounter?? We need more of you

I got a red rose for Makenna next to the yellow rose for my mom. Figured that was fitting as those are the only two women I have loved. Or ever will. There’s a chance you’ll get more of me, but damn you know I don’t like elevators.

Caden~ When you got your first look at Makenna what was the first thing you thought?

That she was so very lovely. And too good for me.

  

Hey Caden. ;) Has Makenna has gotten around to exploring all your tattoos yet with her tongue?  

Cause I would.....

Let’s just say all my markings have been inventoried and catalogued.

And what tastes better, bare skin or skin with chocolate syrup? Inquiring minds want to know.

I like Makenna just the way she is. I couldn’t find her anymore appealing than I already do.

My dearest Caden,

First, I have to say you have such a special place in my heart. Second, there's nothing more irresistible than a strong man that wears his heart on his sleeve. Finally, I never thought I'd say this but you make tattoos look good!

Here are my questions:

- What did you think of Makenna when you first saw her?

- Would you have fallen for her had she been unattractive?

- How did you remain so sane after all you've been through?

- Did you and Makenna finally get to discover each other's body (every inches) thoroughly? *grin*

*rubs hand over scar* Er, thank you. I think. The first thing I thought when I saw her was “peaches and cream.” And then I braced for her to freak out when she saw me. After all I knew about her, I can’t imagine thinking she was anything less than beautiful no matter what she looked like, because she already owned me. To your next question, I’ll only say that Sean’s memory did a lot to get me through the worst parts. I owed it to him to live. Lastly, yes. And that’s all I have to say about that.

If you could do any other job than paramedic, what would it be?

Something else that helped people. Cop, maybe? *chuffs out a laugh* But then I’d probably get mistaken for the criminal so that probably wouldn’t work. *thinks about Makenna’s brother’s reaction to him when they met*

What will be your next tattoo?

I’ve been thinking about a bird with spread wings, which is how I feel for the first time I can remember. Because of Makenna.

 Hi Caden:

1. What brand of motorcycles do you prefer?

2. Will you get more piercings?

3. What have your past relationships taught you that allowed you into the one you started in an elevator?

I’ve scraped more bodies off the road than I care to remember, so I’m not the biggest fan of motorcycles (a.k.a. donorcycles). On the piercings, it’s possible, but nowhere visible. To your last question, I think maybe that life happens, and bad things can occur, whether you take chances or not. So I decided to take a chance, and Makenna made it okay for me to do that.

Hi Caden,

My question is does your Character shape shift?

*Scratches chin, grinning* Uh, no. *looks at hand* But if I did, taking the form of this dragon would be pretty bad ass, don’t you think?

Do you prefer Blonds are Brunettes ?

Neither. Reds are the only thing I prefer, and one Red in particular.

Caden - what attracted you most to Makenna in the dark? What attracted you after? Will you share more of your story in a second book? We loved it, thanks for a wonderful story!

Something about her calmed and comforted me, and I’d never felt that from another person before. That was the first thing. Then, how open and playful she was. She drew me out, and the darkness made me feel I could open up in return. That kind of connection, I’d never had it before. I’d never let myself. By the time I saw her, I was already falling in love. And what I saw was a woman as beautiful on the outside as the in. It’s possible more of our story will be told, so stay tuned. And thanks.

Caden beside Makenna's red hair what do you love most about her ?

I love her compassion and loyalty. She would do anything for the people she loves, and I admire that greatly.

 

Caden, what was the first thing you did once you exited the elevator with Makenna?

We got split up almost immediately. The firemen that responded were friends, and they were all over me about having been trapped. But all the while my brain was churning on what the hell had happened to screw things up with Makenna.

I want to know what movie Makenna & Caden went to see and what toppings they like on their pizza? 

The first movie we saw was Hangover II. Not as good as the first Hangover, which we’ve watched at least three times. We catch all the stupid humor movies, and I haven’t laughed so much since I was a kid—mostly Makenna’s influence, not the movies. Pepperoni’s our favorite, and I usually get sausage on my half.
