OK... while it might appear that I am jumping on the Fifty Shades bandwagon... I was actually introduced to Christian Grey when he was still "Master of the Universe" on Ms James' blog. She introduced the story bit by agonizing bit. We're talking, maybe, half a chapter or so at a time. Yes, it began as a Twilight fanfic but, if you've read it, you know it has nothing to do with Twilight other than some small similarities that on a person who has read Stephanie Meyers series would pick up on. For example, Ana mentions a crush she had on a boy in her high school chemistry class. *winks*
Now, on to Christian *sigh*... Why is he my book boyfriend for the week? Umm... where to start... he rich, gorgeous, in shape, smart, sensual and definitely all male... OK... So he might also be a tad controlling and an assertive alpha male. He was damaged and abused at a very young age so as you learn more about him you grow to understand more about why he is the way he is. He learned to protect what is his at whatever cost he deems necessary. You can usually get the measure of a man by the way his employees feel about him... Mrs Jones and Taylor have nothing but respect for Mr Grey, even when he is being a force to be reckoned with.
I also want to weigh in on the "Who should play Christian Grey?" controversy. Here is my answer~ Henry Cavill, yes, the new Superman... why are we still debating this? lol

ReplyDeleteHenry Cavill IS Christain Grey! He has the looks,the body,the eyes,that boyish smile & sexy smirk. His Dunhill ads on youtube run like a mini 50 shades movie. On Tudors he has played,sexy seductive,domineering.'weet,charming,classy,pained & has had no problem with the nudity or steamy scenes. He has done it all & can play all 50 shades of Christian,even his dominant controlling & painful submissive side.as for Zna,I think Alexandra Daddario of Percy Jackson is perfect. She has the long brown hair,alabaster skin, blue eyes to big for her face& lips perfect for her to bite but not to big,as Ana is described. She has an innocent beauty that requires no makeup which Ana rarely uses,yet can be done up sexy when need to. At 26 she looks 22 yet has the maturity for the steamy scenes.she also has doen actionscenes so she has that experience for Anas little action scenes as well. They would look great together. I love Ian on VD & he is handsome,but I acnt see him as a classy businessman. He is more evil looking bad boy to me. Christian doesn't come off to Ana as a dominant when they 1st meet. Its his secret that shows up later. She sees him as a beautiful greek god classy businessman & Ians look automatically says dominant.
